Mayberry hopes Enid can extend Series deal past 2011
The second year is in the books for Enid as a host city of the National Junior College Division II World Series. One more year remains on the contract. The question is whether David Allen Memorial Ballpark will be home to the tournament after 2011.
If Enid summer baseball general manager Bill Mayberry has it his way, the World Series will remain in town for years to come. He said a bid will be submitted to the NJCAA later this year or early next year, which will ask for the World Series to stay in Enid, possibly for more than three years. -
