OKLAHOMA CITY —
The National Weather Service reports that more than a half-foot of snow has fallen over portions of Oklahoma since winter weather moved into the region Wednesday.
Based on spotter estimates, Woodward has recorded 8 inches of snow. Vance Air Force Base reported 3 inches of snow, while Enid reported 2.8 inches. Sweetwater had 2 inches of snow.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the northern tier of counties and a winter weather advisory is in effect for much of the rest of the state. Snow and ice should diminish from west to east across the state later Thursday.
