HOLLIS, Okla. —
The assistant police chief in Hollis has been arrested on a sexual assault complaint.
Harmon County District Attorney John Wampler told the Altus Times that assistant Police Chief Jayson Scott Vest allegedly had sex with an inmate of the Harmon County jail.
Vest is jailed on $250,000 bond. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
Wampler says Vest is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of raping an inmate. Wampler says the inmate claims she had sex with Vest when he took her from her cell to question her about drug activity in Harmon County.
