WILBURTON — North-ern Oklahoma College Enid’s women, playing without most of its front line, held off Eastern Oklahoma College 67-60 Monday to raise their record to 13-0.
The Lady Jets had four players in double figures — Kelsey Gregory with 14, Alyssa Hankins with 13, Katie Beebe with 12 and Darci Dick with 11. NOC Enid led 33-24 at halftime.
“We didn’t play very well,’’ said NOC Enid coach Scott Morris. “We had to go mostly with small players out there. We had to grind it out. It was an ugly win, but we overcame some adversity.’’
NOC Enid’s men took away a 76-60 victory to raise their record to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the Oklahoma Junior Conference. Spencer Smith had 14 points for the Jets while Ben Smith had 13, Mychal Hearn 11 and Julius Grant 10. The Jets led only 34-31 at halftime, but pulled away in the second half.
“We didn’t play real well,’’ said Jets assistant coach Brian Humphries, “but we got a road win.’’
NOC Enid will host Western Oklahoma College in a 6 p.m. doubleheader Thursday at the Mabee Center.
