Austin Box has been beset with a number of injuries in his Oklahoma football career, including a sprained knee in the fourth quarter of last year’s Bedlam game in Stillwater.
But the former Enid High School standout is healthy going into Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State in Norman.
Box is expected to start at middle linebacker for the Sooners in place of Ryan Reynolds, who is doubtful due to a pulled hamstring.
This season, Box has 16 solo tackles, seven assisted tackles and three tackles for losses. He also has broken up two passes.
Box started five games last year in place of Reynolds and OU went 5-0 in those games.
Ronnell Lewis is expected to back up Box on Saturday.
