Plainsmen junior high places eight in tourney
Enid’s junior high wrestlers had eight placers at the Del City Open Saturday.
Getting seconds were Lane Daugherty, 86 pounds and Billy Grothe, 102; taking thirds were Jake Scott, heavyweight and Aaron Beagle, 126; taking fourths were Tony Salcido, 102 and Troy Gray, 78; and taking fifths were Tanner Struble, 110 and Hunter Nixon, 134.
Also competing were Noah VanKirk, Isaiah Singleton and Sam Clemens, who withdrew because of an injury.
Next stop for Enid’s wrestlers will be the Edmond Memorial Pre-Turkey Open Wednesday.

EHS boys risk league lead
Enid’s boys will put their Centennial Conference lead on the line tonight when they travel to Stillwater for the second half of a basketball doubleheader at 8. The girls tip off at 6:30.

Oklahoma basketball players Steven Pledger and Andrew Fitzgerald were cited for petty larceny Saturday night at the Dillard’s department store in Sooner Mall.
