Northwestern Oklahoma State will be trying to end its football season on a high note when the Rangers visit Oklahoma Panhandle State at 2 p.m. today.
The Rangers, 6-3 overall, will be carrying a three-game winning streak into the game after a 71-24 victory over Texas College last week.
Kingfisher’s Kyle Jech has completed 136 of 239 passes for 1,585 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s thrown only six interceptions.
Korey Williams has caught 56 passes for 758 yards and five touchdowns.
Nate Guillory has rushed for 1,466 yards and 15 touchdowns.
His 243 yards rushing against Texas College allowed him to break the school single-season rushing record.
Lantz Mathers has led the Rangers’ defensive charge with 40 unassisted and 15 assisted tackles. He has 28.5 tackles for losses and seven quarterback sacks.
The Aggies, 5-5, had a four-game winning streak broken by Southern Naz-arene, 48-20 last week.
OPSU has a balanced attack. Daryl Brister has rushed for 1,189 yards and 12 touchdowns. Quarterback Vincent Gay has completed 146 of 262 passes for 2,073 yards and 21 touchdowns. He’s thrown 10 interceptions.
Doug Williams is the Aggies’ top receiver with 64 catches for 1,037 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Pioneer’s Gus Overstreet has been one of OPSU’s top defenders.
He has 17 unassisted and 24 assisted tackles. He has nine tackles for losses and has been credited with three-and-a-half quarterback sacks.
