The 44th annual Winter Nationals will begin a three-day run at Enid Speedway Park at 7 tonight.
Modifieds, limited modifieds, street stocks, factory stocks and pure stocks will get the weekend underway with a full show, including heats and features.
Sprint car competitors will headline Saturday’s 7 p.m. card, joining the track’s regular divisions for a full show, including qualifying heats and main events.
The finale will be 2 p.m. Sunday with a full race card for the track’s regular divisions. Points from the three competitions will be combined to crown Winter Nationals champions, along with bonuses of $800 for modified and street stock, $600 for limited modified, $500 for factory and $300 for the pure stock champ.
Promoter Lonnie Col-ville is expecting a good turnout.
“The sprint car organizer has pretty much promised us that we’ll have between 40 and 60 sprint cars on Saturday night,” said Col-ville. “
‘There are going to be some pretty heavy hitters here including Danny Jennings. I think we are going to see a lot of limited modifieds this weekend. I’ve had phone calls from Texas from numerous drivers who are planning to make the show.”
