ADA — Oklahoma State pitcher Randy McCurry struck out 12 and scattered four hits to lead Ada to a 6-2 win over the Enid Majors here Tuesday night.
The hard-throwing right-hander walked only one in six strong innings.
McCurry also belted one of Ada’s three solo homers.
Also going deep were Robert Thomas and Riley Keith.
Enid right-hander Seth Sturgeon took the loss. Sturgeon allowed just four hits and struck out nine in 52/3 innings. But he walked five and hit three batters.
Enid’s Nick Rountree and Tobin Mateychick each had two hits.
Enid scored a run on a wild pitch and another on an RBI groundout by Zach Sell.
