BARTLESVILLE, Okla. —
Sara Nazari, coming off a back injury, had two new state cuts as the Enid girls beat both Tulsa Kelley, 98-49 and Bartlesville, 78-54 in a double swim dual Friday.
The boys fell to both Kelley, 71-58 and to Bartlesville, 111-30 in their first competition since the Christmas break.
Nazari had state cuts in the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.6) and the 100 back (1:05).
Hunter McEachern won the girls’ 50 free (26.11) and 100 breast (1:15.8). Whitney Livesay took the girls 200 free in 2:22.4
Nazari, McEachern, Livesay and Ashley Valdez were second in the 200 free relay (1:5.12).
For the boys, Gabe Sanchez, Jeremy Crise, Charlie Laws and Michael Johnson were second in both the 200 medley (1:59.79) and 200 free (1:48.09) relays.
“We needed to swim today,’’ said Enid coach Ginny Shipley. “Some of the kids weren’t real happy with their times, but this was the first time we swam in a month.’’
Our times should be going down Tuesday (at Putnam City Invitational).’’
