NOC Enid vs. Eastern rescheduled to tonight
Northern Oklahoma College Enid’s basketball games scheduled for Monday at Eastern Oklahoma State College were rescheduled to Wednesday due to inclement weather.
The sixth-ranked Lady Jets (21-2) are scheduled to tip-off at 6 p.m. Wednesday, while the men (16-7) will play at 8 p.m. against the eighth-ranked Mountaineers.
A victory Wednesday by the Jets, who own a six-game winning streak, would move them to within a half-game of the first place Mountaineers in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference and avenge an earlier 72-70 loss.
The Lady Jets, who are undefeated in OCAC play and have won 12 straight games, can clinch a tie for the conference title Wednesday with a victory. NOC Enid leds Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Connors State by 41⁄2 games. NOC Enid defeated the Lady Mountaineers 76-43 earlier this season.
PHS-Morrison to play tonight due to weather
Pioneer High School’s girls and boys basketball games at Morrison also fell victim to Monday’s winter weather.
The games, originally scheduled for Mon-day evening, have been rescheduled to tonight. The girls will tip-off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at around 8 p.m.
The boys (21-1), ranked No. 4 in class 2A, will be going for their 18th straight victory, while the girls (4-17) will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
Meadowlake ‘Living on the Edge’ Saturday
Meadowlake Golf Course is hosting “Living on the Edge” Saturday. The event will feature a 4-person shamble on the front nine (everyone hits his/her own tee shot and each player plays his/her ball from the spot of the best tee shot), and a 4-person scramble on the back nine. There will be an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Event is limited to first 20 teams to register. For more information or to sign-up, call 234-3080.
