Chisholm After Prom
to hold volleyball fete
Chisholm High School 2013 After Prom Committee is holding a volleyball tournament at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at the multipurpose room at Chisholm Middle School.
This tournament is open to anyone (students, teachers, parents, alumni, etc.) wishing to participate.
All teams must consist of three males and three females.
The entry fee is $10 per player and includes a drink and snack. Entry forms are located at CHS and all teams entry forms must be turned in by 3 p.m. Monday. Due to bracket play, no late entries will be accepted. For information, call (580) 747-6108.
OU to hold spring
game on April 13
NORMAN (AP) — Oklahoma has set its annual spring game for April 13.
The university also announced Tuesday that it will continue its new custom of holding the Big Sooner BBQ before kickoff.
A kickoff time and ticketing information will be released later, once the school finishes working out the details.
All seating is general admission and parking will be free at OU lots. Regular game polices regarding prohibited items will be in force.
Members of the Sooner Kids Club and children 5 and younger will be admitted free. OU students also are admitted free by showing a current OU ID at the gate.

Glencoe duo makes strong introduction
The last time Nate Melton and Claytin Beaver played together, they left the field losers of a season-ending 12-5 Class A state quarterfinal.
On Friday, each of them in Enid Majors blue instead of Glencoe red, and things went closer to plan.
Melton was the Majors’ opening-day starter, introducing himself to Enid with six strikeouts in three innings, topping 90 mph with a fastball that rarely ended anywhere but Beaver’s mitt in a 7-1 Majors win. -

Staggs tells of two-year ordeal on OU golf team
Jade Staggs said her dream had a nightmare ending that included being forced off the Sooners by coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell, who Staggs claims bullied her for the past two years.
