A late-game rally fell short for Enid as the Plainsmen lost to Daphne, Ala., 5-3 Thursday in the final game of the Oklahoma-Alabama Challenge.
The Plainsmen (3-4) will be idle until hosting the annual Gladys Winters Tournament, beginning Wednesday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
The Plainsmen take on Southmoore in the opening game of the tournament at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The round-robin tournament also includes Edmond North, Midwest City, Putnam City North, Tulsa Union and Yukon.
