The county was hit hard in August with burglaries and equipment thefts as well as seven arson fires. Deputies served several search warrants and arrested a person of interest in the arsons on probation violations.
Deputies also recovered some of the property stolen in August and returned it to the owners.
Several deputies went through a three-day shotgun course to bring them up to date. The shotgun can be the most versatile and effective weapon in patrol units.
