ENID, Okla. —
During my 19-year association with the city of Enid, I have had the pleasure of working with many talented individuals. However, in my opinion, one individual has done more for the city than any other employee.
I speak of Andrie Winter, Enid’s grant writer. Through her vision, she singlehandedly guided the Park Board through more “quality-of-life” projects than could be mentioned in this limited space.
Among these projects is the Enid Trails System. She provided leadership and guidance to the Park Board beyond her job description. She truly cared about the quality of life of the residents of Enid. Through her research, she sought out grants (dollars) that no one else would have considered.
The results of these grants will impact our city for generations. She did this with very little fanfare or recognition. I wish her well in her new endeavors.
Thank you, Andrie.
