When was the last time you had your blood pressure or blood sugar checked? Do you want to quit smoking, but don’t know how? What is the best way to make sure your kids are eating healthy foods?
Take a few minutes and find out the answers to these and other health questions at the “Take Time Out for Your Health” fair between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. today at Oakwood Mall
The south end of the mall in front of Dillard’s will be packed with vendors providing a variety of health information and services, including some free screenings and presentations on personal safety and health.
The event is being organized by Garfield County Health Department and supported by Making a Difference partners Central National Bank, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, StarTek, Autry Technology Center, Integris Bass Baptist Health Center and Enid News & Eagle.
We constantly are hearing about the poor state of health of Oklahomans. Too many Oklahomans are having obesity problems or addiction problems. Diabetes is on the rise, particularly in our youth.
Many health issues can be taken care of simply by controlling diet and getting some exercise. It’s never too late to begin working toward a more healthy lifestyle. This health fair is one way to get some questions answered and get started on the right path to healthy living.
Enid has the resources to help those needing health advice, so take advantage of the opportunity of having these health professionals all in one place.
