Letter: Focus on the roads

ENID, Okla. — It is a mystery to me why the city of Enid continues to spend millions of dollars on projects that only a small percentage of the people will benefit from. If you want to do something that every driver would most likely vote for, build a truck route for eastbound and westbound U.S. 412 truck traffic to circle around the city to avoid the car/truck traffic on Garriott. Maybe the city should look at the truck route located at Drumright. A city as small as Drumright has a four-lane highway. around it.

Speaking of roads, South 42nd and Market. The cement culvert was pushed into the ditch by a wreck at that intersection about two years ago and is still not repaired. The caution cones are flattened and in the ditch with it. Is this because of the (east) location or that the city doesn’t feel this is a necessary repair? It needs to be repaired already!
