ENID, Okla. —
So city commissioners, what are you trying to say now? That if the citizens don’t vote yes for the new parks plan, that the current parks and playgrounds will continue to be neglected, as they have for years now, because you don’t have a way to maintain them?
How about this: create a Parks and Recreation Department to maintain the current parks. It would be far cheaper. I would vote yes on that, but the current proposal, I will vote an absolute no! I will not be told in order to receive one thing that I want, I have to vote yes on something I don’t want!
