Enid News and Eagle
ENID, Okla. —
I suppose during the years, I have had my share of complaints about the way city hall operates. Today, I want to reveal the “Rest of the Story.”
This week, I had the opportunity to see another side of city hall.
As I entered the front door of the city offices, I was promptly greeted by the receptionist/phone operator. She was very friendly and made me feel that she was genuinely glad to be of service for whatever need that I may have.
She quickly directed me to the utility services office, which is adjacent to her desk. Upon my arrival to that office, I was again promptly greeted and asked how they could be of assistance to me. I explained I had an issue with my water bill.
I met with a very nice lady by the name of Charlotte. Again, she was very pleasant and helpful. Upon solving my problem, she thanked me for coming in and I truly felt that she was sincere, and that she enjoyed being of service to me.
I immediately left and was on my way out of the front door when the receptionist again spoke and wished me a good day. I felt like she meant it, it wasn’t just words. I was in a good mood for the rest of the day. What a difference those kind of Enid ambassadors can make!
