ENID, Okla. —
Here we go again folks. The city has come up with another plan to burden the tax payers, this one being a new parks plan. They will discuss it, give it a name, then present it to the people of Enid to vote on.
Don’t worry or bother yourselves to go out and vote to say no against it, though. They will only rename it, magically come up with the money from somewhere else and proceed anyway.
Sound familiar? First the Gateway to Enid, then it changed to the Enid Renaissance Project. The only difference this time is we don’t have a mayor that wants a key to a bulldozer so he can tear down Convention Hall himself.
There is nothing wrong with what we have. Some things are seldom used and the city does very little upkeep on them. Why not repair and update rather than build new ones? That would be cheaper and something the people might vote for.
