Enid, OK — Funeral service for Dennis W. Ratzlaff, 65, of Fairview, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Saron Mennonite Church with Rev. Arnold Curby officiating. Burial will follow in Saron Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Nichols Funeral Home, Fairview. The family will greet friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home. The family invites all friends to bring their antique cars for the procession.

Dennis was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Fairview, Okla., to Albert and Florence Kane Ratzlaff and went to be with our Lord Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, as a result of a vehicle accident near Ringwood.

He graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1962 and attended Northwestern State College and Okmulgee Technology School.

He married Sharon Sergeant in 1964. To this union was born David Ratzlaff. In 1975 he married Deanna Mays. To this union was born Adam Ratzlaff, and stepchildren, Bill Wood and Dianna Weaver.

He was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in September 1971. He worked as a farmer and drywaller and painter before starting his business, Ratzlaff & Son Ironworks, with his son Adam.

He was a member of Saron Mennonite Church, 4-H Club and Playboy Racing Club. He enjoyed antique cars and was involved with Gloss Mount-ain Crusiers. He enjoyed his Orienta coffee group.

He is survived by his children, Adam Ratzlaff of the home and his companion Terri Fletchall of Enid and David Ratzlaff of New Mexico; and stepchildren, Bill Wood of Arizona and Dianna Weaver of Stillwater, Okla.; brothers, Arlin Ratzlaff and wife Janora of Newton, Kan., Gary Ratzlaff and wife Glenda of Arlington, Texas, and Terry Ratzlaff and wife Debbie of Fairview, Okla.; grandchildren, Shaun, Carson, Cadon, Brett, Beau, Goel and Cameron; and one great-grandson, Eian.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
