He was born Oct. 17, 1926, in Berryville, Ark., to Rufus Crosby and Sylvia Armstrong Harviston and died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Enid. He married Ettarene Smith in 1955 in Tulsa. They owned and operated an antique store. He retired from Northern Oklahoma Re-source Center Enid after 15 years of service.
Surviving are his wife Lois Ann of the home; three children, Brenda Hancock of Enid, Shirley Gouge of Pottsboro, Texas, and Cline Harviston of Oklahoma; two brothers, Russell Harviston of Oklahoma and Larry Harvis-ton of Idaho; four sisters, Bernita, Arlene, Carolyn and Maxine, all of Idaho; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ettarene, and one brother.

He was born May 8, 1923, in Navina to Ray and Lytia Hasler Lowder and died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, in Oklahoma City.
He was self-employed. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served in the Army during World War II. He married Florence Brown April 3, 1943, in Guthrie.
Surviving are his wife Flor-ence of the home; two sons, Dennis Lowder of Oklahoma City and Jack Lowder of Yukon; four sisters, Betty Moore of Oklahoma City, Elma Lowe of Odessa, Texas, Shirley Shepard of Crescent and Thelma New-burn of Houston; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was born June 12, 1942, in Enid to Ernest and Maurine Lewis Osborn and died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at his home.
He received a bachelor’s degree from University of Central Oklahoma in 1970 and later attended the University of Oklahoma. He served in the Air Force four years in Southeast Asia. He was a homebuilder. He was a member of Oklahoma State Homebuilders Association and National Association of Homebuilders for more than 20 years. He was senior life national director of National Association of Homebuilders and past president of Norman Builders Asso-ciation. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy S. of the home; and three brothers, Jack H., and William E., both of Oklahoma City, and James T. of Norman.

She was born April 27, 1917, in Harper County, to John E. and Ella May Davis McAllister and died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Fairview Regional Medical Center.
She moved to Protection, Kan., as a teenager, where she attended school through the eighth grade. She then moved to Anthony, Kan., where she finished high school, graduating in 1937. She married Clarence J. Olivier Nov. 10, 1937, in Indian-apolis. They made their home near Anthony where they farm-ed. They lived in Rago, Norwich, and Harper, Kan. In 1942 they bought a home in Wichita,Kan., before moving back to Anthony in 1945. In 1952, the family moved to Attica, returned to Anthony in 1957 and from there moved to Kiowa and then Chero-kee. In 1973, they moved to Fair-view. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Fair-view.
Surviving are one son, Tony Olivier of Canadian, Texas; four daughters, Wanda Harnden of Attica, Loretta Bertholf of Stillwater, Donna Palsmeier of Wellington, Kan., and Teresa Wessels of Westminster, Colo.; one sister, Ruth Simmons; 10 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, five brothers and one sister.

She was born July 7, 1916, in Woods County to Henry and Edith Campbell Sternberger and died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006. She graduated from Hardtner (Kan.) High School in 1934. She was a member of United Meth-odist Church, Hardtner. Upon moving to Kiowa, she transferred her membership to United Methodist Church, Kiowa.
She married George Richard Yochum Nov. 26, 1938, in Enid. They lived in Hardtner, farming and raising cattle until their retirement in 1969, when they moved to Kiowa. He died Sept. 11, 1980.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen McCarty of Great Bend, Kan., and Linda Dyck of Tampa, Kan.; one stepson, Richard Yochum of San Antonio; two sisters, Hazel Pflieder and Neva Wilhite, both of Alva; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.

She was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Vernon, Texas, to W.E. and Ellie Deason and died Wednes-day, Aug. 16, 2006 .
She graduated from Vernon High School. She later attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha before transferring to Oklahoma A&M; where she earned a degree in home economics. She taught high school at Fanshaw and Perkins, and worked as assistant home demonstration agent in Enid before moving to Cherokee to work as home demonstration agent for Alfalfa County. She married Cecil White in 1953. She taught home economics at Burlington High School for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cherokee 60 years.
Surviving are her husband Cecil; one son, Craig White of Guthrie; one daughter, Celeste Campbell of Stillwater; and five grandchildren.

CAMERON JAY GEDDES
Cameron Jay Geddes, 53, of Enid, died at his home Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006. His body was cremated with private family services to be held at a later date. Arrange-ments are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Cameron was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Topeka, Kan., to Lowell Jay and Rowena N. (Hohweiler) Geddes. He graduated from Waukomis High School in 1971.
He met and married Anita Karr Sept. 9, 1972, and later married Billie Jo Stewart March 9, 1991, both in Garfield County.
Cameron served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972-1976, where he served at Forbes AFB, Kansas, and Luke AFB, Arizona. He was a member of the Friday Seniors bowling league. He was a retired dispatcher from Stride Well Services, Ringwood office, and served as Little League baseball coach.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Rowena of Enid; four children, Heather Geddes of Moore, OK, Rebecca Geddes of Enid, OK, Krystina Peck of Midwest City, OK, Matt Peck of Enid, OK; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Cynthia Geddes of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and one brother, Kyle Geddes of Arlington, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, an aunt and an uncle.

TWILA JUNE (FOX) GARDNER
The funeral for Twila June (Fox) Gardner, 93-year-old Conroe, Texas, resident, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Jamieson will officiate. Twila was born June 21, 1913, in Kingfisher County, OK to Leo Kent and Rosa Etta (Hamiel) Fox and died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at her home in Conroe, TX.
Separated at an early age from her mother, Twila was raised by her Grandma and Grandpa Fox. She participated in track, cheerleading, and was an actress in the church acting group who put on traveling plays. Twila returned home in eighth grade to nurse her stepmother, Hazel, who was dying of tuberculosis. Following the death of her stepmother, Twila began working as a waitress at about age 15 or 16. In 1937, Twila traveled to Galveston, TX, with her friend, Geneiva, to work as a waitress in a coffee shop. It was here that she met her husband Mac, who was working there as a busboy. The three of them then traveled by train to Louisville, and Twila and Mac on to Terre Haute, Ind. It was there that Grano Gardner gave them a ring for Twila and the money to use for a marriage license. They were married at home on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1937. Following the wedding they traveled back to Oklahoma to meet Twila’s family. Cleo helped Mac get a job through a friend at a concrete plant in Baton Rogue, LA. Louis Mac was born there, much to the joy of his parents. Eventually they traveled back to Terre Haute, where Mac began working for Dupont. While working for Dupont they initially lived in Washington State. They then moved to Port Arthur, TX, where Luana Beth was born. The family subsequently traveled to Camden, S.C., and then Delaware. It was in Newark, Delaware that they finally settled down. Following Mac’s death in 1992, Twila spent more and more time in Texas with Luana, eventually relocating there. Most recently Twila has been living with Luana at her home in Grangerland, TX. Twila was a very opinionated and strong- willed woman. She loved her family. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, writing poetry and collecting elephants. She read her Bible regularly and always said that Jesus’ words were the most important part.
She is survived by her daughter, Luana Beth Hawthorne of Conroe, TX; sister, Cora Lea; six grandchildren, Mary Frances Gardner of Habertown, PA, Louis Mac Gardner Jr., of Wilmington, DE, Michael Joseph Gardner of Bellcamp, MD, Joseph Martin Gardner of Wilmington, DE, Suzanne Marie Schroll of Hillsboro, OR, and Wendy Lee Oliver of Kingwood, TX; 11 great-grandchildren, Shannon and Stephen Duncan, Nicole, Megan, Kayla, Carly, Joseph Jr., Nicholas Gardner, Zoe Oliver, Brian and Kiley Schroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Cleo Myree Seiboldt and Naomi Juanita Hesse, brother, Mac Bruer Gardner, and one son, Louis Mac Gardner.

ISABELLA H. SYOEN

She married George E. Syoen June 22, 1940, in Arlington Heights and they resided there until 1996, when they moved to Enid.
Isabella was a homemaker, a health care giver, a Girl Scout leader and a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She volunteered at her church as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Paul A. and Jeanene Syoen of Enid, William G. Syoen of Tulsa, Jerome A. Syoen of Island Lake, Ill., Elizabeth C. and Tim Richartz of Island Lake, Ill., Alexander H. and Lucinda Syoen of Crystal Lake, Ill., David C. Syoen of Arlington Heights, Ill.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Norman and Mary Horcher of Jacksonville, Fla.

VELMA CARTER
Velma Carter, daughter of Clay and Gertie (Owens) Sander, was born Sept. 9, 1919, two miles west of Seiling on the Carrie Nation place. She died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at The Commons-Methodist Home in Enid following a long illness. She was 86 years of age.
Velma was raised on the Sander family farm west of Seiling and she attended Seiling school.
She was united in marriage to Russell Carter Jan. 1, 1937, in Medford. They made their home west of Seiling where they raised their two children, Joyce and Allen. Velma worked alongside her husband on the family farm, but she mostly enjoyed her life as a homemaker for her family. She was a member of First Christian Church where she helped serve many funeral dinners. She was active in the U&I; Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Dewey County Extension Club where she had received her 50-year pin. She worked many years on the Dewey County Election Board and was a charter member of the Area Medical Foundation.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Bean of Enid; one son, Allen Carter and wife Dava of Seiling; nine grandchildren, Anna Hague, Amy, Anita and Ashley Carter, Amanda High and husband Mack, James Bean and wife Linda, Mary Leewirght and husband Jamie, Ellen Huff-master and husband Dewain and Lisa Castle. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Jerry Sander and wife Julie of Mutual; and three sisters, Christine Parson and Beverly Autrey, both of Seiling, and Peggy Harrell and husband Beans of Woodward. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends including her care-giver, Sandy Anderson of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Carter, July 8, 1990, three sisters and seven brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at First Christian Church with Pastor Ewel Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in Brumfield Cemetery under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.

Buck was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Idabel, OK to William Kay and Lenora Fuller Cooke Sr. and passed away Aug. 15, 2006, at his home.
Buck attended Idabel schools and Oklahoma State University. Buck entered the U.S. Navy where he spent three years, 11 months and 14 days. He worked several years on pipelines, including the Alaska Pipeline in 1975-76. He also worked for the Oklahoma Highway Depart-ment, worked on OG&E; Power Plant at Red Rock and 18 years at cable companies in Enid and worked for Mid-State Pest Control.
He married June (Gossett) Leighnor Sept. 28, 1996, in Enid.
Buck is survived by his wife, June of the home; his son, Kent and his wife Angie Cooke of Waukomis; his grandchildren, Kourtney and Kody Cooke of Waukomis; stepchildren, Guy Root and Laurie Dirks; stepgrandchildren, Summer Root, Dane and Tyler Dirks; sister, Dolores and her husband Richard Hedges of Wagoner, OK; stepsister, Pam Quenzler of Florida; and several nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
Buck was preceded in death by his sister, Carol, and his stepfather, Norman Shockley.
Buck loved his family, his work, his co-workers, the out-of-doors and all animals.
