Memorial service for Charlie Fay Smith, 68, will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at First Assembly of God Church, with Pastors Dan Barrick and Jarrod Cloud officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Charlie was born to Richard and Hazel (Booher) Smith July 6, 1944, in Paris, Arkansas, and passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Enid.
Charlie graduated from Savanna High School.
On November 9, 1968, he married Jackie Hagar in McAlester.
Charlie was a minister with Assemblies of God and pastored several churches, the last being Billings Assembly of God. The family moved to Enid in 1989. Charlie was a member of Enid First Assembly of God Church, where he was presented Volunteer of the Year for heading up the moving committee.
He is survived by his wife Jackie; son Todd Smith and wife Michelle of Tulsa; Tammy Smith of the home; two grandchildren, Malachi and Zoe Smith of Tulsa; and brother Arlis Smith of Sallisaw.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brother Sonny.
