ENID — Funeral service for Ross Maurice O’Quinn, 93, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Willow View United Methodist Church with Rev. Lesly Broadbent officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Ross was born to Mark and Bessie (White) O’Quinn on Jan. 3, 1919, in Eva, Okla., and died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at his home in Enid.

Ross graduated from Burlington High School, Northwestern State and Phillips University. He was Post Master for the 3rd Marine Corps and did occupational duty in Japan.

In 1940, he married Wilma Tarrant.  

Ross spent 41 years as a teacher, coach, and principal. He was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church. They enjoyed traveling.

Ross was a sports enthusiast, especially for OU and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; daughter, Yvonne Hedman of Arvada, Colo.; two sons, Michael O’Quinn of Wichita, Kan., and  Robert O’Quinn and wife Elaine of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, John; and sister, Eva Glenn.

Memorials may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church.
