ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Sherrill Smith, 91, was held Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Watonga. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga.

Sherrill was born April 23, 1921, in Broken Bow, Okla., the eighth of 11 children, to Mittie C. and John M. Compton and died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at First Shamrock Care Center, Kingfisher, Okla.

She married Grandal E. Smith Dec. 1, 1944. He died in 1977.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Loewen, Perry, Ga., Terry Smith, El Reno, Becky Smith, Harker Heights, Texas, and Jo Anne Jones, Watonga; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Bryan Compton, Watonga.

Preceded by nine siblings.
