Noah “Noel” Gonzales Jr.

MEDFORD — Funeral service for Noah “Noel” Gonzales Jr., 15, of Medford, will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, in the Medford School Auditorium. The Reverend Bobby Smith will officiate. A memorial service and visitation will be 7 p.m. Sunday evening, October 24, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, Medford. The Reverends Bobby Smith and Dr. Jim Lady will officiate. The arrangements are under the direction of Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.

Noel was born August 21, 1995, in Abilene, Texas, to Noah and Gloria (Castillo) Gonzales, and went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, October 22, 2010, near Kaw Lake in Kay County. The family moved to Medford when Noel was 10 months old.

Noel was a freshman at Medford High School. He participated in track, football, basketball, and baseball. He was a member of the student council and FCA. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting and music.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford.

Noel was preceded in death by an infant sister, Brittany LaShae; grandfather, John Castillo; great-grandmother, Juanita Fernandez; great-grandparents, Roque and Helen Gonzales; great-grandfather, Bruce Enriquez; and uncle, Johnny Castillo, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Noah and Gloria Gonzales, and his brother, Brian Gabriel Gonzales, all of the home; grandparents, Robert and Mary Gonzales of Medford and Mary Guzman of Lewisville, Texas; great-grandmother, Mary Enriquez of Haskell, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Medford School Athletic Program with Hills-Ely Funeral Home, P.O. Box 280, Medford, OK 73759, serving as custodian of the funds.
