ENID — The funeral for Robin Rene Cox Whetstone Lowery, 44, of Seiling, will be held today, Feb. 9, 2010, at Crossroads Community Church, Seiling. The Rev. Pat Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaw Funeral Home, Taloga.
She was born Nov. 18, 1965, in Thomas to Herbert and Ethel Cox and died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Canadian Valley Hospital, Yukon.
She was raised and educated in Taloga. She earned various certifications in business and healthcare administration at Northwest Vo-Tech, Oklahoma State University and High Plains Area Vo-Tech.
She married Arlyn Whetstone Oct. 9, 1983. They made their home in Chester, where she was active her children’s schooling.
She worked most of her life in healthcare in Oklahoma and Alabama in 2000.
She married Timothy Scott Lowery in Birmingham in 2003. She returned to Mustang in May 2009.
Surviving are her mother, Ethel Cox; one daughter, Daisy Haffner of Seiling; one son, Rusty Whetston of Seiling; four sisters, Pamela Welch of Birmingham, Brenda Shavor of Sayre, Carol Ramsey of Chester and Cheryl Ragains of Taloga; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
