ENID — The funeral for Janet Marie Moore, 66, of Geary, will be 1 p.m. today, Feb. 9, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, Geary. The Rev. Karen Slater will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home, Geary.
She was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Oklahoma City to Elmer Click and Helen Marguerite Davidson Massey and died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at her home.
She worked in the cotton fields with her parents as a young child.
She married Glen Garrett. He preceded her in death.
She later married William “Cap” Boon. Together, they owned and operated B&B Ready Mix Cement Plant, Breckinridge, and Boon Sand and Gravel, Watonga. She also worked as a truck driver for area farmers, the North Store, Maib’s, and Jiffy Trip in Calumet.
She married Lloyd “Pete” Moore Nov. 21, 1983, in Enid.
Surviving are her husband, Pete, of the home; six children, Kelly Gooden, Glen Garrett and Kristy Miller, all of Geary, Karen Carrillo of Laurel, Miss., Glannetta Plascensia of Springdale, Ark., and Kenny Moore of Red Oak; one sister, Jeannie Massey of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
