ENID, Okla. —
Memorial Mass for Gladys Teran will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rev. Rajesh Mankena and Rev. Larry Kolawski will be the celebrants.
A recitation of the Rosary will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Gladys was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Quito Ecuador to Blanca Masdeu and died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Enid.
She grew up in Quito and graduated from Immaculate Conception School.
Gladys married Galo Teran and had four children.
She was a secretary for the Department of Treasury in Ecuador.
Gladys came to the United States in 1963, living in New York City and later Nashville, Tenn. She worked a variety of jobs, including working at Opryland Hotel. Gladys loved New York City and Nashville.
She made her home in Enid in 2005. Gladys happily lived at The Commons for the last four years.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Galo and Lucia Teran of Mansfield, Texas, Monica Teran and Alejandro Maldonado of Baton Rouge, La., Jaime and Jeannette Teran of Quito, Ecuador, and Cynthia and Eduardo Martinez of Enid; seven grandchildren, Gaby, Pamela and Santiago Teran, Sebastian and Claudia Maldonado, Daniel and Aimee Martinez.

Douglas Lloyd Champlin
Douglas Lloyd Champlin of Gardnerville, Nev., died peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness of cancer. He was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Joe Noble and Jane Edwards Champlin.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel Raether Champlin; daughter, Christa Hampton and husband Cobey of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Claire Woolsey and husband Cole of Reno, Nev., and Cassidy Champlin of the home; six grandchildren; sister, Joanna M. Champlin and husband Shawnee Brittan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends all over the world.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, H.H. “Bud” Champlin, formerly of Enid, Okla.
As a young boy growing up in Enid, Okla., Doug developed a love for history and the military. He became a collector at a young age of toy soldiers, guns, and just about anything he could get his hands on related to history. -
Harold H. Jantzen
The graveside service for Harold H. Jantzen, 80-year-old Newton, Kan., resident will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2013, in the West New Hopedale cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev James Suderman will officiate.
Harold was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Bessie, Okla., to Henry K. and Frieda (Froese) Jantzen and died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Newton, Kan. After graduating high school he attended Grace Bible Intitute and the Bethel College. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he obtained his master’s degree. He then earned a specialist’s degree from Emporia College. -
James M. Dillard
Memorial service for James M. Dillard, 61, Pilot Oak, Ky., will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Byrn Funeral Home Chapel, Mayfield, Ky. Abe Leonard will officiate.
James was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Fairview and died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home.
