ENID — Memorial service for Jacob Edward Burrell, 23-year-old Enid resident, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Central Christian Church. Rev. John McLemore will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Jacob was born Oct. 24, 1987, in Enid to Ricky Lee Burrell and Terri Lynn (Howerton) Burrell and died Friday, July 15, 2011, in an automobile accident.

He attended Chisholm schools and graduated in 2006. He was employed with Stuart Irby Electrical Supply Co. for the last two years.

Jacob loved music. He also was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an excellent trap-shooter. He also was an Indianapolis Colts fan.

He is survived by his parents, of Enid; sister, Lindsi Merriman of Sherman, Texas; special nephew, Baylen Merriman, Texas; maternal grandparents, E.C. and Nina Howerton; and paternal grandfather, Clarence Burrell. He also is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sue Burrell; great-grandparents, Mert and Lee Jantz of Enid, Rufus and Leona Johnson of Enid, Gene and Josie Blevins of Tulsa, and Ela and Vivian Howerton of Colgate.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made through the funeral home to CDSA Emergency Assistance Fund.
