ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Robert Mittelstaedt, 77, of Fairmont, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, Okla. Visitation is 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Tim Dorsch will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Ladusau-Evans is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Robert was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Fairmont, Okla., the son of Martin and Helena (Meyer) Mittelstaedt and died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, in Enid, Okla.

Robert was educated in Fairmont and graduated from Garber High School. He attended college in California.

Robert married Lois Broadrick Jan. 3, 1959, in Baldwin Park, Calif. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1966, and worked A&C Garage as an ASE certified and transmission specialist until his retirement.

Robert was an active member of Zion Lutheran church and served on the stewardship board for several years. Robert loved all sports, but was an avid baseball fan. He loved the Arts and loved to read. His favorite author was Zane Gray.   

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois, and three brothers and three sisters.

Robert leaves Earl and Dawnnell Lamb of Covington, Okla.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper-Lamb of Edmond, Dakota Lamb of Covington, and Bralee Lamb of Covington; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
