ENID, Okla. —
Enid Public Schools Board of Education members will face a light agenda when they meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Office.
Members will consider a number of routine encumbrances, fundraiser approvals and activity fund requests. Then they will turn their attention to proposed agreements with the Oklahoma Department of Health to participate in the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System, and with Employer Administration Services as a third-party administrator for the district’s tax-sheltered annuity plan.
Changes to the district’s non-discrimination plan, making the language simpler, will be considered.
Then the board will take up two construction-related items. The first is a proposed change order to the contract with Timberlake Construction for renovations to Prairie View Elementary School. The change order would increase the contract by $14,424 to tile restroom walls instead of paint them, make landscaping changes and hook up magnetic locks on hallway doors.
The board also will consider an agreement with Atlanta, Ga.-based Carter USA for construction management services for the Enid High School University Center and renovations to the old Education Building. Carter is the company that already provides project management for bond issue renovation improvements and construction. The proposed cost of management services for the additional work is $195,000.
Board members then will contemplate the purchase of a new scoreboard for D. Bruce Selby Stadium. Installation price would be $122,397, with $30,000 to come from the Gridiron Club, $15,000 to come from the Booster E Club, $30,000 to come from the athletics account, $2,500 from the playoffs account, $25,000 from an anonymous donor and $20,000 from the district general fund.
An executive session for personnel-related transactions also is on the agenda.
