Chisholm Trail DVD set available
A DVD set on the Chisholm Trail history featuring Enid historian Bob Klemme is available for $15.
The DVD set can be purchased at Enid Welcome Center, 123 W. Maine, or Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.
CNB open house slated Friday
In celebration of the holiday season, Central National Bank’s open house will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at all three Enid branches.
The downtown location, 324 W. Broadway, will have local musicians and choral groups throughout the day. Santa Claus will be at the downtown location from 10 a.m. to noon. Pictures are available with Santa at no charge.
Customers, friends of the bank, and the board of directors are invited to attend the annual event.
Entertainment schedule is: St. Paul’s Lutheran School, 10 a.m.; St. Joseph’s Catholic School, 10:30 a.m.; Chisholm High School Choir, 11 a.m.; Emerson Jazz Band, 11:30 a.m.; Enid High Show Choir, noon; George Davis and Anne Ott, 12:30 p.m.; Cimarron Montessori, 1 p.m.; and CNB Choir, 1:30 p.m.
Sock drive under way
Northwest Oklahoma Ortho Physical Therapy is organizing a Socks for Seniors Holiday Sock Drive.
Donated socks will be taken to an area nursing home for distribution. All kinds of socks are needed, from practical to brightly colored. Donation sites located in the Parkview Medical Building, 330 S. 5th, include Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, first floor; Scheffe’s Pharmacy, second floor; and NWOOC Physical Therapy, third floor, and also in the Springs Medical Building, 615 E. Oklahoma, at Enid Urology Clinic.

GOP women to host Christmas party
Garfield County Republican Women’s Club will install officers for 2013 during the Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the home of David and Sharon Trojan.
Officers to be installed are: Lois Clausing, president; Lorie Legere, first vice president; Kay McCrackin, second vice president; Cheryl Shreve, third vice president; Sara Hill, fourth vice president; Deirdre Postier, recording secretary; Phebe Frisbie, corresponding secretary; Desi Milacek, treasurer; Lillian McGee, assistant treasurer; and Vergie Pryor, Bea Schovanec and Toni DeKock, directors. �
