ENID, Okla. —
Enid Fire Department responded late Thursday night to a fire in a storage container in the 3300 block of North 4th.
EFD Fire Marshal Ken Helms said six EFD trucks responded at 11:06 p.m. Thursday to a report of a fire in a semi reefer trailer that had been converted to a storage container at 3321 N. 4th, the address for Sooner Auto Parts.
Helms said the storage container fire was “fully involved” when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and overhauled the trailer insulation to prevent re-ignition.
Helms said the trailer’s owner reported a cutting torch had been used on the trailer earlier in the day to remove the refrigeration unit.
The fire caused no injuries and no damage to surrounding structures. Helms said the damage to the trailer was estimated at $500.
