Broadway Tower selling for $250,000

ENID, Okla. — Broadway Tower is selling to an out-of-state buyer for $250,000, property manager Eli Berry said.

The new manager is Brad Waken, owner of Waken and Company Real Estate.

“He is one of the best in town, and we’re confident he’ll take good care of the tenants,” Berry said.

“It was put in the contract by (the) sellers that there would be local management.”

Broadway Tower has been owned by Lew Ward and Bob Berry since 1981, when they purchased it for $100,000. Eli Berry said the undisclosed buyer is unsure of future plans and still is considering options.

Broadway Tower has 165 parking spaces, and there are 3,300 square feet per floor. The building is the tallest in Enid at 15 stories.

The much-anticipated auction of the building in March did not occur, as the owners canceled the sale on the morning of the auction. They announced at that time the property would be moved to private negotiations.

Broadway Tower is on the National Register of Historic Places.
