Water cut off to Covington again

A city of Enid spokesman said water provided through a 20-inch line to Covington was expected to be flowing again Tuesday night, after the second interruption to the southeast Garfield County town in a week.

Spokesman Jacob Foos said water to Covington from the Enid line had been cut off throughout the day Tuesday as additional repairs were made to the line. The line also feeds Koch Nitrogen and Salt Fork Water Authority. The line was taken down for repair Nov. 26 and not brought back online until Thursday.

Covington utilities superintendent Mike Schram said the water went off at about 10-11 a.m.
