Enid woman hurt in crash near Medford
An Enid woman was injured Friday night on U.S. 81 north of Medford when she fell asleep at the wheel, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Cindy D. Buchanan, 41, was taken by Medford EMS to Sumner County Hospital in Caldwell, Kan., with head injuries and was admitted in stable condition, according to the patrol. Buchanan fell asleep and left the road while driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer and overcorrected, crossing the center line and striking a bridge barrier, causing her vehicle to roll onto its passenger side.
The collision occurred about 10:15 p.m. about two and half miles north of Medford, the patrol reported. Buchanan was not wearing her seat belt.
