A man who escaped from William S. Key Correctional Center Monday is back in custody and headed for tighter security, said Linda Eike, prison spokeswoman.
Richard Youtsey, 43, was apprehended by Key personnel about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in Elk City. Authorities received a tip a vehicle in which he escaped dropped him off between Clinton and Weatherford. Authorities be-lieve a girlfriend may have helped him escape.
Youtsey was alone at the time he was caught. He had been confirmed missing at 9:15 a.m. Monday.
Eike said he will be taken to Crabtree Correctional Center in Helena and will face charges relating to the escape. Youtsey was sentenced in 2008 in Greer County for bogus checks, bail jumping and impersonating someone else to create liability. Online prison records indicate he was scheduled for release in 2027.
