A Longdale man was injured when his car went airborne and overturned and he was ejected Sunday morning.
Joel L. Hadley, 25, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup southbound on Oklahoma 58, three miles south of Canton in Blaine County, about 8:40 a.m. Sunday. Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports state he fell asleep. The vehicle left the roadway on the right side and struck a private drive. The car went airborne, overturned two times coming to rest on its wheels.
Hadley was taken to Okeene Hospital by Canton EMS with head injuries, where was admitted with head, arm and leg injuries. He was in stable condition.
The passenger in the vehicle, Timothy James Scott, 23, of Canton, was ejected an unknown distance to point of impact. He also was taken to Okeene Hospital, where he was treated and released.
OHP Trooper Trent Cagle investigated the accident. He was assisted by Trooper Mark Williams, Canton Fire Dept., Canton EMS and Blaine County Sheriff’s Office.
