ENID, Okla. —
Enid Police Department is notifying the public, as required by law, about two sex offenders who have moved in Enid.
EPD was notified by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections that Skyler Rude has been classified as an aggravated sex offender.
Whenever a sex offender classified as aggravated or habitual moves into a residence, the police department is required by state statute to notify residents of the neighborhood.
There are eight possible offenses that can require a person be classified as an aggravated sex offender if they were convicted after Nov. 1, 1999.
Habitual offenders are those offenders convicted of two or more sex crimes after Nov. 1, 1997, or those previously convicted with another sex offense conviction after Nov. 1, 1997.
Rude was convicted of rape, lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child and forcible sodomy Dec. 4, 2010, in Garfield County. His victim was under the age of 13.
Rude is not wanted for any crimes and has registered as a sex offender with the Enid Police Department.
Rude is a white male, 19, is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 154 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. He resides at 2906 E. Eucalyptus.
EPD also was notified Samuel Wayne Wylie has been classified as a Level 3 sex offender.
Level 3 offenders are those who have been convicted of: abuse or neglect of a child (when sexual abuse or exploitation in involved); incest; rape in the first degree/rape by instrumentation; lewd or indecent to a child under 16/sexual battery of a person over 16; kidnapping (if the offense involves sexual abuse or exploitation); trafficking in children (if the offense involves sexual abuse or exploitation); child stealing (if the offense involves sexual abuse or exploitation); second-degree rape or second and subsequent sex offense convictions.
Wylie was convicted of cause, procure, or permit injury/sex abuse May 14, 1998, in Murray County. His victim was under the age of 13 years old.
Wylie is not wanted for any crimes and has registered as a sex offender with Enid Police Department. He was just released from prison.
Wylie is a white male, 47, is 5 feet 11 inches tall, with gray hair and hazel eyes. He resides at 1101 W. Southgate.
