ENID, Okla. —
Northern Oklahoma College Enid band director Joe Bryant will be a featured speaker at the Meeker Public Schools Veterans Day celebration Monday.
Bryant will speak to students about his experiences in the Army Air Corps during World War II and the Air Force Medical Corps during the Korean War.
Bryant flew P-38s for the Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1945, and was called back to active duty in the Air Force’s medical branch after he graduated from dental school at Baylor University.
The Veterans Day celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Monday in the Meeker auditorium.
