ENID, Okla. —
Veterans and active-duty military will receive free admission to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum on Veterans Day, to be observed Sunday.
“Even though we are a museum based in Oklahoma, we have a great respect for those serving in America’s military around the world, and it is great to be able to give something back to our veterans,” said Chuck Schroeder, museum president.
All active-duty, active Reserve, Ready Reserve Service members, National Guardsman, Coalition Forces members and retirees, any prior military, American Legion members and VFW members are eligible for free admission.
They may bring up to five guests free of charge during regular museum hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Proof of military I.D. in one of these categories or DD214 is required.
Nationally accredited, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum is located in Oklahoma City’s Adventure District at the junction of I-44 and I-35.
America’s premier Western heritage museum offers annual memberships that include year-round admission for six people, subscription to the award-winning quarterly magazine “Persimmon Hill” and discounts for events and the Museum Store.
For a complete schedule or more information about the Museum, go to www.national cowboymuseum.org or call (405) 478-2250.
