Hillsdale playground fundraiser still on

HILLSDALE, Okla. — Hillsdale Booster Club continues to collect funds to purchase a playground system for the Hillsdale park. A total of $2,000 needs to be raised by Nov. 11 to participate in a sale offered by the company from which the system will be purchased. Chick-fil-A will donate to the playground system a percentage of its sales 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday. To donate directly to the project, contact Jenifer Lloyd at 635-2212.

Gretchen Streck’s Hillsdale Christian School second-grade class took its monthly mission trip to the Hope Outreach Day Center on Oct. 17. The students sang three songs to those in attendance. Soloists were Brooklyn Phillips and Daniel Voth. The class helped unfold newspapers for the store. Outerwear was the designated items to donate this month. Students took gloves, stocking caps and old newspapers, and were treated to a trip to Sonic.

Emily Buller’s HCS basketball teams began their season by hosting DCLA on Oct. 23.

The annual Hillsdale Christian School Invitational Basketball Tournament was held Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Teams participating were HCS, DCLA, Drummond, Garber, Kremlin-Hillsdale, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, Pond Creek-Hunter, and Ringwood. The HCS teams are scheduled to play Medford at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at at the Pond Creek-Hunter basketball tournament.
