ENID, Okla. —
Three people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon in a two-car accident at the intersection of 10th and Maine a little before 6 p.m.
Enid Police Sgt. Bryan Hart said two males were taken to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center by ambulance. One of the two males was pinned in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by Enid Fire Department. One unresponsive female was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. All were transported by ambulance.
Hart said the accident still is being investigated and not much was known in the minutes after the accident. He said a third vehicle may have been involved and fled the scene.
Two of the occupants were in an SUV which was struck by another car at the intersection. The SUV was overturned in a nearby yard. The other automobile, a late-model Chevrolet, which contained at least one occupant, was severely damaged on the front end.
Hart said officers would be on the scene “ for quite a while.”
