A Meno man was transported to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center Friday night after sustaining internal trunk and leg injuries in a vehicle accident about two miles south and one mile west of Ringwood in Major County.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Jose R. Resendiz Flores, 22, was driving a 1998 Chevy utility at a high rate of speed northbound on a Major County road at 11:10 p.m. Friday night. According to the report, the vehicle he was driving exited the roadway to the right, and Flores overcorrected to the left, striking a sign and rolling the vehicle one time.
Flores was ejected three feet from the point of impact.
According to the report, Flores was not wearing his seat belt and there was an odor of alcohol present. OHP listed the cause of the collision as “alcohol: DUI/DWI.” Flores is listed in stable condition at Bass.
