ENID, Okla. —
Enid Fire Department responded Thursday to a report of a fire at Enid Event Center.
Firefighters arrived at 200 S. Grand after the 11:52 a.m. call and found construction crews were cutting steel with a torch when a plywood concrete form was ignited by the cutting torch.
Assistant Fire Marshall Todd Hays said the building itself didn’t catch fire and firefighters were on scene for about 15 minutes. Firefighters got on top of the roof and extinguished the fire.
No damage was caused to the building and only the plywood concrete form was on fire.
