Haunted house to raise money for family
Garber FFA chapter will host a haunted house Halloween night to benefit a local family.
Funds raised at the Wednesday night haunted house will benefit the family of Ron Harris, of Garber, who was injured in an accident on Oct. 22.
The haunted house will be 6-10 p.m. Wednesday in an 1893 homestead house located six miles east of Garber and one-eighth mile north of Breckinridge Road.
The annual haunted house drew more than 200 attendees last year. Candy will be available for kids.
Cost of admission is $5 per person.
Bingo and chili supper fundraiser slated
Garber FFA will host its annual bingo and chili supper at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school lobby.
All the money raised from the supper, which is by donation, and the bingo games will be used to buy Christmas gifts for children from the Angel Tree at the Pioneer Telephone office in Garber.
Landfill winter hours announced
Starting Monday, the Enid landfill will begin its winter schedule.
Hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12, and will close at 4 p.m. Nov. 13.
