A Morrison woman was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle collision three miles north and three miles west of Okeene in Blaine County.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, a 1991 Chevy pickup driven by James David Blom, 28, of Waukomis, was traveling east on Blaine County Road 0590 and failed to yield to a northbound 1999 Peterbilt semitrailer, driven by Darrell Douglas Hinsley, 50, of Cove, Ark., colliding at the intersection with County Road 2600.
The semitrailer struck Blom’s vehicle on the passenger side, according to the report. A passenger in Blom’s pickup, Amber Rachelle Poulton, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene of massive injuries.
Blom was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid and admitted in stable condition with head, internal trunk and arm injuries.
Hinsley was transported to Okeene Hospital and admitted in stable condition.
Seat belts were not in use in Blom’s vehicle, and cause of the collision was failure to yield, according to the report.
