ENID, Okla. —
A Pond Creek teen was injured Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident in Grant County.
Morgan Ryanne Martin-Ferris, 15, was taken to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She was admitted in stable condition with head, arm and trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 10:40 p.m. on U.S. 60 one-quarter mile west of Pond Creek.
According to the report, Martin-Ferris was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy west on U.S. 60 when she fell asleep and went off the road to the left, came back on the road into the other lane, then left the road again.
The vehicle rolled one and one-half times, coming to rest on its roof.
A passenger, Jeri Annette Ferris, 44, of Enid, was not injured.
Seat belts were in use, according to the report, which listed the driver’s condition as sleepy and the cause of the accident as “inattention-other.”
