ENID, Okla. —
As required by law, Enid Police Department is notifying the public about an aggravated sex offender who has moved to Enid.
EPD was notified by Oklahoma Department of Corrections that Vincent Lewis has been classified as an aggravated sex offender. Whenever a sex offender classified as aggravated or habitual moves into a city, the police department is required by state statute to notify residents of the neighborhood.
There are eight possible offenses that can require a person be classified as an aggravated sex offender, if they were convicted after Nov. 1, 1999. Habitual offenders are those offenders convicted of two or more sex crimes after Nov. 1, 1997, or those previously convicted with another sex offense conviction after Nov. 1, 1997.
Lewis was convicted of two counts of sexual battery Aug. 10, 2010, in Tulsa. Lewis is not wanted for any crimes and he has registered as a sex offender with the Enid Police Department. He was just released from prison.
Lewis is a black male, 27 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He currently is transient.
